Russian missile strike on Odesa: Consequences revealed

In Odesa, as a result of Russian missile strikes late in the evening on April 30, in addition to the deaths and injuries, residential buildings were also damaged. A video of the consequences of the Russian shelling of civilian infrastructure was revealed by Odesa mayor Hennadii Trukhanov.

“As a result of Russia's night attack, residential buildings were damaged. Windows and doors were smashed,” he says.

In the morning, the Operational Headquarters of the district administration will start working at the site of the Russian strike in Odesa.

The mayor addressed the residents of Odesa and warned of the possible intensification of Russian air strikes shortly. In this context, he asks citizens to respond to alarms promptly and stay in shelters during Russian shelling.

“Dear citizens of Odesa! For the second day in a row, Russia has been launching ballistic missiles at us. I am asking you to respond to air raid alerts as quickly and move to safe places as soon as possible. It is very important to save your life and health,” Trukhanov says.

Russian missile attack on Odesa

At about half past midnight on April 30, explosions were heard in Odesa during an air raid. The Ukrainian Air Force Command warned of ballistic missiles heading toward the city. About fifteen minutes later, more explosions were heard.

Local authorities later said that three people were killed and three others were injured in Odesa by Russian ballistic missile attacks.

Oleh Kiper, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administratio, also said that there was damage to civilian infrastructure in the city.
