'Really happy': 22-year-old Liverpool loaned out says the club really likes what he's been doing right now

Liverpool seem to be really pleased with what their 22-year-old player is doing out on loan at the moment.

If there is one thing that has changed radically at Liverpool over the last few years is the club’s ability to find successful loan spells for its promising young talents.

Before, Liverpool’s youngsters would go out on loan and most struggle for game time. However, recently, they’ve gone out and flourished.

Just take a look at Conor Bradley’s example at Bolton Wanderers last season. Or the way Jarell Quansah was able to use his loan spell at Bristol Rovers.

This time around, there are plenty of others catching the eye as well. Including a 22-year-old, who could be on course for a league and cup double.

Vitezslav Jaros explains how Liverpool are monitoring his progress

One of the players catching the eye while out on loan is Vitezslav Jaros. As mentioned above, since he has arrived at Sturm Graz, his side have become the favourites to win both the Austrian Bundesliga and the Austrian Cup.

He’s also played in Europe in the Europa Conference League, where he caught the eye in two knock-out round matches against Slovan Bratislava and Lille.

Now he has been speaking in an interview with This is Anfield about his time on loan and how Liverpool have monitored his progress since leaving in the January window.

“I’m keeping in touch with John Achterberg the most. We talk after every game, and I sort of get his feedback as well,” Jaros said.

“He just drops me a message and says what he thinks of my game, what I did right, what I did wrong, but I think overall he seems to be really happy with the way I’m performing and I’m getting on.”

Does Vitezslav Jaros have a long-term future at Liverpool?

Jaros has been playing really well at Sturm Graz, He’s kept four clean-sheets and has the best save percentage out of any goalkeeper in the Austrian Bundesliga (78.38%) according to Wyscout.

Based on the numbers, the fact that he counts as a homegrown player and that Caoimhin Kelleher could leave the club this summer, he seems like a natural successor as the club’s second choice goalkeeper.

It’s clear Liverpool have been impressed by his progress, and the future seems bright for the 22-year-old.
