Contracts have been signed with Mix Steel for two modifications of trench electronic warfare (EW) systems, according to Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov.

There are currently two modifications of electronic warfare:

  • PARASOL 01, which is capable of protecting the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces by suppressing enemy drones at a distance of 200 meters;
  • PARASOL 02, which will protect vehicles. Electronic warfare systems can be installed on vehicles and connected to the onboard network. Enemy drones will be jammed at a distance of 200 meters.

Other advantages of electronic warfare include:

  • ease of use;
  • training on how to use them takes up to 15 minutes.

“The state has already signed contracts with the developer, Mix Steel, and is purchasing two PARASOL modifications, and the Ukrainian Defense Forces are actively using them,” adds Fedorov.

The Minister notes that today more than 100 developments are registered on the Brave1 platform, 9 of which have already been modified to NATO standards.

Weapons production in Ukraine

Back in February, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russia would be surprised by Ukrainian-made drones and electronic warfare systems. In particular, the head of the Ministry of Strategic Industries, Oleksandr Kamyshyn, noted that Ukraine had caught up with Russia in the number of UAVs produced, which are analogous to Iranian Shaheds.

Zelenskyy also said that there are 500 defense industry enterprises in Ukraine, and about 300,000 people are employed by them.
