Report: Tottenham have now suffered double injury blow ahead of Chelsea game, two players are definitely out

Tottenham Hotspur head into their game against Chelsea tomorrow with injury problems.

However, the same can also be said about Chelsea, who have had to deal with fitness issues all season.

Enzo Fernandez, for example, was recently ruled out for the remainder of the campaign after having to undergo surgery.

Captain Reece James has struggled to stay fit all season, while summer signing Romeo Lavia has only managed to make one appearance this term.

The Belgian will not get the chance to add to that either after being ruled out until the next campaign.

Tottenham duo to miss Chelsea clash

Kai Havertz scored two goals for Arsenal in his side’s 5-0 win against Chelsea last week.

When the Blues take on Tottenham tomorrow, though, they will not have to worry about another one of their former players punishing them.

As per the Evening Standard, both Timo Werner and Ben Davies will miss the London derby at Stamford Bridge because of injury in a major blow to Ange Postecoglou.

Spurs will be desperate to win after losing 4-1 to Chelsea at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium back in November.

Who needs the three points more, Tottenham or Chelsea?

While Tottenham will be dying to win this London derby because of the above and the fact that they are still aiming to qualify for the Champions League, Chelsea need the three points just as much.

Mauricio Pochettino‘s men are on course to miss out on European football altogether, currently sitting ninth in the Premier League table.

Simply put, then, both teams need to win. Being at home and having already beaten this Tottenham side, you may just have to give Chelsea the edge here, especially if Cole Palmer maintains his ridiculous home form.

The 21-year-old has two hat-tricks in his last two games at Stamford Bridge. That should worry Spurs, who have already conceded to Palmer from the spot this season.
