Report: Arne Slot will now have to convince 25-year-old Liverpool player to stay at the club

There is one Liverpool player who Arne Slot will have to convince to keep at the club this summer.

Liverpool’s new manager will not have an easy job. The task of replacing Jurgen Klopp will be a gargantuan one for Arne Slot, who looks likely to succeed him.

But it’s not just about replacing Klopp. It’s also about keeping the squad together and continuing the cohesion that has been there for the last nine years.

This will undoubtedly be Slot’s biggest challenge in his career. Even if he has delivered a lot of success in the Netherlands, nothing can prepare him for what he is about to face.

What Arne Slot needs to do with Caoimhin Kelleher

One of Slot’s biggest challenges will be to keep his playing squad satisfied. And to convince those who might be unsure about staying at Liverpool to change their minds.

That’s what Jurgen Klopp did with Caoimhin Kelleher last summer according to the Liverpool ECHO. And now the site claims that Slot will also have to convince the 25-year-old to stay at Liverpool.

Kelleher has been a great servant for Liverpool. He’s become one of the best second choice goalkeepers the club has ever had.

Keeping him in the squad would make the team stronger. However, Slot’s task will be difficult. Kelleher is at an age where he will want to play regular football.

Who could be Caoimhin Kelleher’s replacement at Liverpool?

If Kelleher leaves, Liverpool may already have a replacement in place with Vitezslav Jaros.

The Czech goalkeeper has been brilliant while out on loan this season, and he seems like a natural successor to Kelleher’s throne.

As he revealed recently, he is keeping in regular contact with Liverpool’s goalkeeping department at the moment.
