Burnley midfielder says £60m Tottenham player is even better than Enzo Fernandez

Richarlison is a real enigma of a footballer.

The Brazilian looks like an absolute world-beater from time to time, but, at certain points, he looks like a Championship player.

Last season, Richarlison scored just one league goal for Tottenham, but, during the same season, he was arguably one of the best strikers at the World Cup.

It’s really hard to place Richarlison as a player in terms of his ability, but now, Burnley’s Josh Cullen has made an interesting claim about the Brazilian’s talent.

Josh Cullen’s claim about Richarlison

The Burnley midfielder was taking part in a TikTok challenge on the Irish national team’s official page.

Cullen was tasked with ranking some world football stars from best to worst and he made an interesting claim about Richarlison.

Indeed, Cullen put the £60m man seventh on his list of player ahead of the likes of Enzo Fernandez and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Richarlison vs Enzo Fernandez

Cullen suggested that Richarlison is better than Enzo Fernandez, and this is a difficult comparison to make.

In all honesty, Richarlison has probably had the better season than Fernandez, but, both players have been underwhelming for the most part.

Fernandez, sadly, hasn’t hit the heights we saw at the 2022 World Cup, and he looks like a serious waste of money for Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Richarlison, for all his flaws, has operated at a consistent level within the Premier League for a long time now, and while he probably hasn’t proven to be worth £60m to Tottenham, he has been solid enough this season and throughout his time in England.

Fernandez probably does have the higher ceiling of these two players, and hopefully we get to see him fulfil his potential soon, but, right now, we have to agree that Richarlison is the superior player.
