'Not normal': What Lionel Messi did this week that's showing he's loving life at Inter Miami - journalist

Journalist Michelle Kaufman has suggested that Lionel Messi is loving life at Inter Miami after what the forward did this week.

Messi has been the in-form player in MLS in recent weeks with the Argentine breaking yet another record on the weekend against the New England Revolution with two goals and two assists in front of 65,000 fans.

With David Beckham praising Inter Miami after the 4-1 win, Messi’s form has lifted the Herons to the top of the Eastern Conference as well as the MLS Supporters’ Shield standings, with a playoff place looking likely for the Florida franchise.

And Messi now appears to be loving life both on and off the pitch.

Messi attending Miami Heat game shows he’s loving life in MLS with Inter Miami

Speaking on Inside Inter Miami, beat reporter Kaufman revealed that Messi attending this week’s Miami Heat NBA playoff fixture alongside Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba is a clear sign that the Argentine is loving life in Florida with his new team.

With Messi one of the most famous people on the planet, the Inter Miami star having a chance to attend events in public is something the 36-year-old could not to do in Europe, yet it’s proving not to be a problem in Miami.

Kaufman said: “He’s healthy, he’s having fun, he was at the Miami Heat game with the Beatles, Mount Rushmore, all four showed up in Busquets, Suarez and Alba, with their families for the game.

“He’s out and about, which is not normal for him, to go to sporting events. He’s having a good time, he’s playing well and having fun.”

A happy Messi will lead to the Herons dominating in MLS

Whilst there are suggestions that Messi playing when he is mad is a sure-fire way for an opposing team to endure a long day at the office, the same could be said for when the attacking is happy.

And this off-the-field lifestyle could be key to why Messi is now really enjoying his soccer at Inter Miami, with the reigning Ballon d’Or holder looking happy on the pitch with his new club and teammates.

Indeed, Inter Miami are doing all they can to get the best out of Messi, yet away from the pitch, the culture of living in Florida is seemingly having a positive effect on the Argentine and his form for the Herons.
