Tottenham Hotspur still have a lot to play for this season, but with the transfer season on the horizon, Spurs will no doubt have an eye on who they could look to sign.
Tottenham have enjoyed a decent maiden season under Ange Postecoglou, with a top-four finish still not out of the picture and the Europa League certainly a good possibility.
Admittedly, there’s still work to do at Spurs, but under Postecoglou, the future looks quite bright, and the next few years should hopefully be fruitful.
Tottenham were one of the Premier League’s busiest teams in the January transfer window, making two senior signings and landing a top prospect in Lucas Bergvall.
One of those signings was Timo Werner, who joined Spurs on loan from RB Leipzig with an option to buy for a reported £15million.

He also relayed Postecoglou’s press-conference comments, before revealing that Spurs are set to decide this month whether they’ll trigger Werner’s option clause.
Timo Werner would be a cheap squad option for Tottenham
Werner has made a decent enough impact at Tottenham since arriving in January, registering two goals and three assists from 14 Premier League outings.
However, despite showing signs of ‘outstanding‘ quality at times, the 28-year-old has struggled with his finishing at times, something we also saw at Chelsea.
That said, considering how cheap the option to buy Werner is, you’d like to think that Spurs will trigger it just to get themselves an experienced, first-team ready squad option for a bargain price.
