'Trump glitches': Internet scorches ex-president for failed attempt at four-syllable word

Republican presidential candidate, former U.S. President Donald Trump talks to supporters during a campaign rally at the Sheraton Portsmouth Harborside Hotel on January 17, 2024 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

Former President Donald Trump's decision to attempt a four-syllable word during his Wisconsin campaign address Wednesday did not go according to plan.

Trump tried to deride the bipartisan $1.2 trillion infrastructure legislation passed under President Joe Biden's administration but video shows he said something rather different.

"[It didn't] work out too well—$1.2 trillion for their fake infra-trucker-sher bill," Trump declared.

The moment was shared on social media with the oft repeated message: "Trump glitches."

"Let’s ditch infrastructure week," quipped @MaTTFLaMMaBLe, "and instead have a little speech therapy."

"Instrafuckershire," joked X user Grim Up North, "a county in England."

The former president has "glitched" while delivering public addresses during campaign stops over the past several months.

Trump appeared as a special guest speaker at a Buckeye Values PAC Rally in Dayton, Ohio, on March 16 during which the ex-president fumbled with the word "bite."

"You've bit me but why?!" Trump shouted. "You know your boyght is poisonous."

When Trump came to South Carolina in February he delivered a unique message, Raw Story reported at the time: "There was an unexpected dump, the soup pie cane is broken, and a friend is a person who sticks with you 'in times of bad.'"

On Wednesday, Trump's word stumble once again spurred mockery.

"Big boy is missing his courtroom nappie," @BFrannister posited.

Added X user Laurie, "Polysyllabic words are not his friends."
