Ukraine has evacuated a teenager and his family from the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region, according to the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.

"Volunteers helped evacuate a 16-year-old boy and his family from the temporarily occupied community in Kherson region," he said.

According to the head of the administration, the family is now safe.

"They are being taken care of by doctors and psychologists who are helping them recover from their ordeal and adapt to their new surroundings," he added.

Children deportation

Since the beginning of the war, Russian terrorists have forcibly transported children to Belarus, temporarily occupied Crimea, or Russia. This prompted the International Criminal Court to issue an arrest warrant for dictator Vladimir Putin.

As recently reported by the Human Rights Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada, Dmytro Lubinets, Qatar has assisted Ukraine in repatriating four groups of children. In the near future, the return of another group is also planned.
