Watch: Celtic announce nominees for April Goal of the Month award, fans able to vote

Celtic have been involved in another busy month on all fronts as the 2023/24 campaign enters its final stretch at Parkhead.

Brendan Rodgers has led the men’s side to hold a three-point advantage at the top of the Scottish Premiership with just four matches left to play, and the prospect of a domestic double is still firmly on the table in Glasgow’s east end.

Meanwhile, Elena Sadiku’s tenure in charge of Celtic Women continues to go from strength to strength. They sit at the Scottish Women’s Premier League summit with 72 points, ahead of Rangers on goal difference.

The common denominator for both is an ongoing fight with our fiercest rivals for either league title; however, for the latter, Glasgow City could still come into the equation with a bit of good fortune.

Nevertheless, Celtic have plenty to jostle for across all avenues for the remainder of this campaign, which promises an exciting end to proceedings, where our support will play a huge part in trying to help their side over the line.

Celtic announce Goal of the Month shortlist for April

Earlier today, Celtic announced the shortlist for their April Goal of the Month, consisting of six nominees who have been recognised for their efforts.

Fans can vote for their preference via the official club website, and they will also be entered into a draw to win a signed jersey from the scorer of the winning goal [Celtic FC].

Once you have watched the video, the nominations from Goal A to Goal F are as follows:

Goal A – Adam Idah vs Rangers: Receiving an exquisitely weighted through ball from Paulo Bernardo, the Irishman needed no invitation to steady himself before leaving Jack Butland with no chance.

Goal B – Reo Hatate vs St Mirren: Capitalising on a ball from Alistair Johnston, Hatate then flashed a brilliant outside-of-the-boot volley past Zach Hemming to open the scoring against the Buddies.

Goal C – Natasha Flint vs Partick Thistle: Following an eye of a needle pass from Amy Gallacher that took out the Jags’ backline, Flint rounded Megan Cunningham and slotted away with aplomb

Goal D – Matt O’Riley vs Aberdeen: Celtic’s man for the big occasion struck once more at Hampden, slotting high past Kelle Roos to grant the Hoops a 3-2 lead in extra time.

Goal E – Lucy Ashworth-Clifford vs Heart of Midlothian: Gathering possession on the left flank, Ashworth-Clifford bamboozled Charlotte Parker-Smith with a looping strike to grant Celtic the lead on home soil.

Goal F – James Forrest vs Dundee: The final entry on this list comes from last weekend, where Forrest fired a powerful first-time volley past Jon McCracken from Kyogo Furuhashi’s layoff at Dens Park.

With the polls now open, so to speak, Celtic fans have the chance to pick their favourite from another successful month on the field.
