Rock legend who said he 'only has 10 years left to live' wants to perform again

After previously retiring from touring after his ill health, Ozzy Osbourne has said he wants to tour again, despite saying he “only had 10 years left to live.”

The music legend revealed at the end of last year that he will live “for 10 years at best” with his illnesses, including Parkison’s disease. He also admitted he’d “cheated death” and should have “should have been dead a thousand times.” He’s recently provided an update on his health, and his goals for the future.

Ozzy Osbourne’s health update and potential tour after saying he ‘has 10 years to live’

In a recent episode of his Sirius XM show, the Black Sabbath star was asked how he was, to which he responded “I don’t know.”

“I’ve just come back from the doctor after having some stem cells put in me,” he told rocker Billy Morrison on his SiriusXM show ‘Ozzy Speaks’, detailing his treatment. “The thing is, you have it, and you go, ‘I don’t feel that great,’ but I don’t know what it would be like if I didn’t have it.”

As well as Parkison’s, last year, the 75-year-old underwent a fourth spinal surgery after damage inflicted by a fall in 2019. He told Rolling Stone his second surgery went “drastically wrong,” leaving him “crippled”. In the latest, they found a tumor in one of the vertebrae, which they had to dig out.

Over the past decade, the star has suffered through numerous health problems, but he still has fight left in him.

On his podcast episode, he said he still has music aspirations, including winning an Academy Award, and being able to get through a whole live set.

“I’d like to do a f****** gig without falling over now,” he told Morrison, who told him “That’s gonna come. You’ll get there.”

The star is ‘determined to visit’ his hometown bench

As well as being determined to get back on stage, Ozzy is also determined to visit the Black Sabbath bench in his home city of Birmingham “very soon”.

In an interview with his wife Sharon, the 75-year-old said he’ll come to see the bench in the city even if he “has to crawl there”.

The bench includes ‘huge pictures’ of the band members, and has become a tourist attraction in the city. “I’ll be coming up very soon,” he promised.
