Report: Nottingham Forest want attacker with seven goal contributions this season

Nottingham Forest will need to be busy in the transfer market during the summer – and now they’ve been linked with a top talent.

The Reds will have to be busy regardless of what division they find themselves in during the 2024/25 campaign.

If Forest stay in the Premier League they will go for quality over quantity, with more emphasis placed on outgoings.

Should Forest suffer relegation, some of the top players may leave and a priority might be placed on younger talent.

Now, with just three games to go, it would appear as though some transfer rumours are starting to circulate.

It would appear as though Forest are now in the race to sign a top talent from Africa when the transfer window reopens.

Nottingham Forest rival Sporting Lisbon to sign Aziz Issah

Well, one position that Nuno Espirito Santo will definitely want to strengthen is the final third.

According to Ghana Soccer Net, Forest are keen to sign Dreams FC attacking midfielder Aziz Issah when the season finishes.

The 18-year-old has enjoyed a decent breakthrough season and has been showcasing his quality in front of goal and a creative spark.

During the recent CAF Confederation Cup – when Dreams reached the last four – he scored four goals and claimed two assists.

Furthermore, he also helped the Ghana under-20 win a gold medal at the African Games which were held in Ghana.

Forest aren’t the only club interested in signing the young talent, with Sporting Lisbon and a number of clubs in Africa keen to sign him.

Newcastle are also interested, according to Football Ghana, and their interest is likely to turn the player’s head.

It’s not clear at this stage what the player would cost, although it’s unlikely to be a fortune given the size of the club he currently plays for.

Issah could star if Reds choose to sign him

As an 18-year-old, Forest might choose to sign him and nurture him through their academy ranks first.

Issah would definitely arrive as an unknown quantity but given the club’s recruitment from other continents outside of Europe, it could be a risk worth taking.

Forest might find themselves in a position where they lost some players in the summer and that will mean reinforcements are necessary.

Issah plays as a number 10 typically and having another player to compete with Morgan Gibbs-White for that position could be ideal.

The fact he’s just a teenager means that for a small fee, Forest could sign him and then nurture him into a star of the future at the City Ground.
