Earlier, it became known that a video of a possible ATACMS strike on the Russian army in the village of Rohove in the Luhansk region appeared online. The strike occurred approximately 78 kilometers from the front line. According to analysts, the area of impact and the number of elements affected are significantly larger than with GMLRS, so the strike was likely carried out by ATACMS ballistic missiles of American production.

The US Department of Defense noted that Ukraine had already received ATACMS in early April. This transfer was secretly approved by US President Joe Biden. Sources from The New York Times revealed that Ukrainian defenders received over a hundred such missiles in total.
