Princess Anne, 73, apparently wants to give dancing a try on the popular reality program, Strictly Come Dancing. The Princess Royal reportedly told show contestant Nadiya Bychkova "at a ballet event."

"She is a Strictly fan, and she wants to go on the show — she told me," she said.

"She did say that," Bychkova added. "I think she would be good – there’s a lot of personality there, isn’t there?"

The show seems to be popular with the ladies of the British royal family, as the late Queen Elizabeth II, Queen Camilla and Kate, Princess of Wales, are all said to be fans of the televised dance fest.

Her Majesty even once offered to host an episode of the show at Buckingham Palace shortly after King Charles III's accession to the throne.

"They love it, and they watch it all the time," Bychkova continued. "Whenever you see royals at events, they all know what’s going on. I'm not from this country so I don’t know all the royal etiquette, but you learn through situations, and I just try to be (as) respectful as I can when I meet the royals. It just blows your mind to think how big this show is."

The dancer even went so far as to suggest she would put in a good word for Elizabeth II's only daughter with the show's producers. "We get that privilege, and because of the show, we end up in circles with celebrities who love Strictly. So whenever we speak with the producers I say, 'What about this person?, or, What about that person?'"

The reality show celebrates its 20th anniversary on the air this year.

Her Royal Highness was elevated to the role of senior working royal when her brother, King Charles III, inherited the Crown. Despite being the hardest working British royal for several years running, Her Royal Highness is reported to be "especially devoted" to fulfilling royal duties in the wake of her sibling's cancer diagnosis, as well as the same condition affecting Kate, Princess of Wales.

With two essential stars of the show out of commission "for months to come," Queen Camilla, Prince William, and the Princess Royal, are set to shoulder the burden of the Crown's "nonstop public expectations."

"l think Princess Anne is always ready for a frontline role. I think she did when we saw that in the coronation when she was there on her horse guarding the new King," royal expert Angela Levin said of the hardworking royal."That was a very important job to look after him. I think she's willing to do everything, but she doesn't like the press to follow her."
