Donald Trump's a native New Yorker yet somehow when he posted a nod to the city's esteemed FDNY agency for welcoming him at a firehouse to deliver some pizza pies — he did so using the acronym "NYFD."

And when it clearly was discovered to be a mistake for the 45th president and real estate mogul who called decades the Big Apple home for several decades and apparently "built the skyline of New York" — the Truth Social post was deleted with news ones properly using the FDNY in its place.

Trump made the trip to Engine 8 Ladder 2 firehouse in Midtown Manhattan soon after he concluded another day in court defending against his criminal hush money case, and delivered stacks of pizzas to applauding firefighters.

“I LOVE YOU ALL-special people,” Trump scribbled in a firefighter’s log book.

"We appreciate whoever supports our members at the FDNY, no matter their political affiliation," reads a statement from the FDNY.

"We're going to come in. Number one, you have to stop crime, and we're going to let the police do their job. They have to be given back their authority. They have to be able to do their job," Trump said. "And we're going to come into New York. We're making a big play for New York, other cities too. But this city, I love this city."

Missing on the name of one of the preeminent agencies in town didn't wash well with many folks.

"NYFD isn’t a thing, Mr. Trump," @ArtCandy explained on Twitter/X. "It’s FDNY."

"I built NYC and I can't even spell it," mocked Marie Blanchard.

Former federal and state prosecutor Ron Filipkowski tweeted on Thursday: "Trump has deleted all his posts on Truth Social where he incorrectly referred to FDNY as NYFD."

"FDNY, FNYD, NYFD, FYND, whatever... he only went there because his pants are on fire," writes TV broadcaster Keith Olbermann.

And Jason Ciani suggested it wasn't Trump who blew it, but his digital sidekick Dan Scavino, posting: "Scavino f---ed up!"
