The 51-year-old from Hermitage, currently said to be of no fixed address, admitted driving a Nissan X on Stretcher Drive in Hermitage on Wednesday, March 13, with neither a valid insurance policy nor driving licence.

He was fined £120.

No order for costs was made because of his limited means but Mr Williams was required to pay a statutory victim services surcharge of £48.

In addition, he was banned from driving for 12 months.
