'They won't': Chris Sutton predicts who'll win between Arsenal and Bournemouth tomorrow

Arsenal will be eager to make the most of their early kick-off on Saturday to pull further away from Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table.

Mikel Arteta’s Gunners host Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium in the day’s 12:30pm kick-off.

With City not playing until 5:30pm, Arsenal will hope to deal a psychological blow to Pep Guardiola’s side by going four points clear before they’ve kicked a ball.

Arsenal have bounced back well from their shock 2-0 loss to Aston Villa last month, going on a run of three league wins in a row.

Andoni Iraola’s Bournemouth are also in good form, having won their last two league games and also claiming a point against Manchester United recently.

The Cherries currently sit 10th in the table and will be eager to cement their place in the top half of the table.

Chris Sutton, writing on BBC Sport, has now shared his thoughts on the fixture as well as predicting who he thinks will win on the day.

Who does Chris Sutton think will win between Arsenal and Bournemouth?

Sutton praised the Cherries for how well they’ve done and for surpassing their record Premier League points tally already.

However, the BBC Sport pundit feels the Gunners will have enough to get the better of the visitors, due to what’s at stake for them in the title race.

Sutton, predicting a 3-1 home win, wrote: “Bournemouth are finishing the season strongly, and have already surpassed their record points tally for a Premier League season.

“That’s especially impressive when you remember they did not win their first league game until 28 October, but Andoni Iraola has turned everything round and has proved me wrong because I thought he was out of his depth at first.

“I can’t look past an Arsenal win here, though, with what is at stake for them in the title race. They cannot afford to slip up, and they won’t.”

Arsenal will be eager not to repeat mistakes of Aston Villa loss

While the Gunners will obviously be favourites for the game by virtue of their higher league position and playing at home, they’ll also be wary of not slipping up like they did against Villa at the Emirates.

With that in mind, Arsenal may well be cagey to begin with, but I think once they get into their groove, they should be able to get the better of their opponents. I predict a 2-0 home win.
