Unmanned aerial vehicles, primarily equipped with the K-51 release system, are the most common method used for delivering chemical weapons, the statement said.
Between February 2023 and April 2024, there have been 1891 documented instances of Russians deploying munitions equipped with hazardous chemical substances.
Russia continues to use munitions with hazardous chemical substances, violating the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production, Stockpiling, and Use of Chemical Weapons and on their Destruction, as well as the laws and customs of warfare, the General Staff said.
