Bruce Willis' daughter Rumer Willis reveals father is 'doing ok' amid ongoing aphasia and dementia battle

Bruce Willis' oldest daughter Rumer Willis has given an update on her father's ongoing dementia battle and revealed that he is "doing ok".

The 69-year-old is best known for his roles in films such as Die Hard, Sixth Sense, Glass, Pulp Fiction and The Fifth Element, being one of the biggest stars in Hollywood.

Since his aphasia diagnosis in 2022 and dementia diagnosis in 2023, Willis rarely makes public appearances, spending as much time with his family in their home.

His 35-year-old daughter recently gave an update as to how her father was doing, as told Fox News at the premiere of her new film - My Divorce Party - "He’s great. Yeah, yeah, doing OK. Thank you so much for asking.

"I think, for me, through this experience, what’s been so incredible is my dad is so beloved, and that’s been so evident in the transparency with which we’ve been sharing.

"And I think if there’s any way sharing our experience brings hope — whatever comes forward as a family — that can have an effect and bring any sort of hope, comfort to someone else experiencing that, then to me, that’s … everything."

The star's daughter is continuing to follow in her famous parents' footsteps and revealed what she picked up on set from them wasn't always specific to acting.

"I feel like what I learned from them was just by watching. I feel like being on set, one of the biggest things I would say, just by proxy, you treat everyone with the same amount of respect, whether you’re in front of the camera, behind the camera, from the littlest job. Like, it doesn’t matter.

"Everyone is there, and their participation and effort and energy they’re putting in is just as important as what you’re doing."

Willis' wife Emma Hemming Willis and daughter Tallulah Willis attended the 30th anniversary of Pulp Fiction in honour of the actor after he starred as Butch Coolidge in the 1994 cult classic shortly after his career kicked off with his role in Die Hard.

Due to his illness, Willis was unable to attend the anniversary event of his own movie but had his family front and centre to represent him.

Tallulah, 30, paid homage to her father by wearing a black baseball cap with "Bruce" embroidered on it in white letters.

She paired the accessory with ripped jeans, a yellow graphic t-shirt and a black blazer, whilst Willis’ wife wore a black Dior suit with a white satin blouse and black pumps.

Both Willis’ daughter and wife advertised their attendance on their Instagram page, with the youngest child penning: "Giving you freshly squeezed ‘Bruce Willis in the 90s going to a premiere’ for the 30th-anniversary screening of Pulp Fiction last night.
