Arsenal fans were wowed by 'brilliant' thing Gabriel Jesus did vs Bournemouth

Arsenal secured an impressive 3-0 victory over Bournemouth to continue their title challenge, and there were plenty of strong performers.

Goals from Bukayo Saka, Leandro Trossard and Declan Rice handed Arsenal all three points, and Rice was particularly outstanding as he registered a goal and an assist in a complete performance.

With Arsenal leading 2-0, Mikel Arteta was able to make some substitutions, and Brazilian pair Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus came on for Trossard and Saka.

Martinelli instantly ran through on goal, but could not get the ball out of his feet to score what would have been a confidence-boosting strike, after he and Jesus came in for criticism.

Jesus did impress on the right hand side, and fans were delighted with one thing he did towards the end of the game.

Arsenal fans impressed by Gabriel Jesus assist for Declan Rice in Bournemouth win

In the closing stages of the game, Arsenal found themselves in a promising attacking move, with Jesus on the ball at the edge of the box.

Jesus slid a no-look reverse ball to Rice in the box, with the pass a reminder of the flair the attacker possesses, and Rice took control of the ball before finishing into the bottom corner.

Whilst Rice did take the plaudits, fans were quick to point out the role Jesus played.

“Great goal that from Rice. Swift team effort, lovely combination & an even better pass by Gabriel Jesus,” one fan posted on X.

“That Gabriel Jesus no look pass was cold, quality stuff. What a brilliant way to cap off the match,” another stated.

Despite the criticism he has received for his lack of goals, Arsenal fans were impressed with how Jesus played on the wing against Bournemouth, and his high technical level will always be appreciated.

“That Gabriel Jesus assist to Declan Rice once again shows He can play Bukayo Saka position. He is not going anywhere,” one fan pointed out following recent rumours linking the 27-year-old with an exit.

“Gabriel Jesus is useful off the bench – u wouldn’t want to play against him with tired legs – goals ain’t his thing but he got a well worked assist today,” another claimed.

It does appear that Jesus will have to settle for a bench role for the rest of the season, but if he continues to provide such quality as a substitute, he will show Arteta why he can still be a key player next season.
