Mauricio Pochettino gives 'fantastic' player back-to-back starts: Chelsea predicted XI vs West Ham

Chelsea are back in action tomorrow afternoon when they host West Ham in the Premier League.

It’s a quick turnaround for the Blues following Thursday’s 2-0 league win over Tottenham.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side go into their final four matches of the season still in the race for the European positions, so can they finish strongly and salvage an underwhelming campaign?

The Chelsea Chronicle has predicted the starting XI that Pochettino may select on Sunday at home to West Ham.

The Evening Standard claims Levi Colwill and Christopher Nkunku may be fit enough to return to the matchday squad this weekend and take a spot on the bench.

GK and defence

Djordje Petrovic keeps his spot as the starting goalkeeper. He should be buoyed by a rare clean sheet a couple of days ago versus Spurs.

Alfie Gilchrist makes back-to-back starts for the first time in the Premier League in our line-up.

Trevoh Chalobah and Benoit Badiashile pair up again as the starting centre-backs.

Finnally, Marc Cucurella completes the defence at left-back, but we expect him to drop into midfield again like in the last couple of matches.

Midfield

Moises Caicedo, who’s hit form lately, starts again as the central midfield destroyer.

He’s partnered by Blues captain Conor Gallagher, who’s similarly catching the eye with his performances.

Chelsea are decimated by injuries right now all over the pitch, but Pochettino can still pull together a strong XI.

Attack

Noni Madueke and Mykhailo Mudryk start again as the flying wingers that should give West Ham’s full-backs a busy afternoon.

That leaves Chelsea talisman Cole Palmer in the No 10 position.

Nicolas Jackson leads the line as the main striker to finish.
