Report: As well as Bryan Gil, another player has now decided to leave Tottenham this summer

After Bryan Gil asked to leave Tottenham, another player has decided to depart N17 this summer as well.

The Spain international has apparently asked Ange Postecoglou if he could be sold this summer – according to Vamos Mi Sevilla – after making just two Premier League starts this season.

So, which Tottenham player has now joined Bryan Gil in deciding to leave Spurs? Let’s take a look…

Giovani Lo Celso opts to leave Tottenham

Well – according to Estadio DeportivoGiovani Lo Celso has also chosen to leave Tottenham this summer.

The Spanish news outlet believe the Argentina international has become disillusioned at Spurs after yet another campaign in which he has struggled for playing time.

Lo Celso has only made four starts in the Premier League this season, and Estadio Deportivo expect the South American to be sold this summer.

The Tottenham No.18 only has 12 months remaining on his contract, so Daniel Levy is highly unlikely to stand in the Argentine’s way.

The upcoming summer window represents Tottenham’s last chance to recoup as much of the £27.2m spent on Lo Celso as possible, as he will be able to sign a pre-contract agreement with another club in January 2025.

Ange Postecoglou could oversee huge clear out

Anybody who watched Tottenham’s 2-0 defeat against Chelsea on Thursday could clearly see just how frustrated Postecoglou is becoming, and a summer clear out could now happen.

The Australian was angered by Yves Bissouma’s failure to spot basic passes – according to Ryan Taylor – and was also furious with Emerson Royal.

In fact, Tom Allnutt even claimed on The Tottenham Way Podcast that Bissouma could be sold, as people at Spurs start to doubt the Mali international.

Spurs do have a lot of deadwood, as well as senior players who simply cannot adapt to Postecoglou’s style, like Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, so we would expect to see a number of notable departures this summer.
