Alabama could find itself down several players against Mississippi State due to illness, according to Maroon and White’s Robbie Faulk. The number of absences could be as many as 18 players, the Clarion-Ledger’s Stefan Krajisnik said.

Saturday marks the second game of a three-game set between the Crimson Tide and Bulldogs. Mississippi State got a resounding victory in the opener Friday night, coming away with the 13-3 victory via run rule in seven innings. That dropped Alabama to 28-17 overall on the season, including 9-13 in SEC play.
