Report: What Juventus and Atletico Madrid are willing to pay Manchester United for Mason Greenwood

Mason Greenwood will have his future decided away from Manchester United this summer.

It appears that Greenwood is likely to be sold by Manchester United, with the academy graduate’s controversial past seemingly too much hassle for the Red Devils to keep around Carrington.

Fabrizio Romano confirmed this in his Caught Offside column: “I already reported that Man United are prepared to cash in on Mason Greenwood and the situation hasn’t changed.

“Man United will wait for permanent transfer proposals because the priority is a sale in order to make a profit for Financial Fair Play, although Getafe still hope to keep him on loan.”

Greenwood will provide a vital source of income for Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his Ineos mob. But how much will the Red Devils receive for him?

Atletico Madrid and Juventus interested in Mason Greenwood

A move away from England will definitely be the likelihood for Mason, and after a fantastic loan spell at La Liga side Getafe – he’s in demand by some of Europe’s biggest sides.

According to a report from Tutto Juve, aside from Getafe of course, two clubs very interested in Greenwood in the summer are Atletico Madrid and Juventus.

Atletico have been tracking the Manchester United loanee during his La Liga loan spell with Getafe and have been impressed with his performance.

Juventus, on the other hand, are looking for a winger to strengthen their squad and have included Greenwood in their list of targets.

How much Juventus and Atletico Madrid are willing to pay for Mason Greenwood

The big question is, how much are they willing to pay? Well, not too much by the sounds of things.

The report states that Atletico are reluctant to pay the £25.7m (€30m) demanded by United, whereas Juventus are looking to make an initial offer of between £12.8m and £14.6m (€15m and €17m).

In our opinion, this will not be accepted by Manchester United. A figure around the £30m mark seems fair in our eyes. This is going to be an interesting development over the coming months.
