Jamie O'Hara tells Arsenal to go 'all out' on striker who reminds him of Thierry Henry

Jamie O’Hara has suggested a striker for Arsenal this summer after claiming he’s of the same ilk as Gunners legend Thierry Henry.

Mikel Arteta and Edu were under huge pressure to sign a striker at the end of the year.

Arsenal had lost back-to-back games in the Premier League against Fulham and West Ham United, and many felt a new number nine was the only way we could challenge for the title.

However, Arteta decided against signing a new centre-forward, and Arsenal have done incredibly well in attack since thanks to Kai Havertz.

The Gunners are expected to be active in this summer’s transfer window irrespective of what happens in the remainder of this season.

Many still feel Arsenal need a new striker, and O’Hara has just urged Arteta to go ‘all out’ on someone who is similar to Henry.

Jamie O’Hara predicts where Arsenal will finish next seaosn if Mikel Arteta signs Alexander Isak

Arsenal have been linked with a move to sign Alexander Isak this summer.

The Newcastle United forward has been on our radar since he was at Real Sociedad. We tried to sign him a few years ago when he was there.

Isak has had an amazing season in the Premier League this term. He has scored 20 goals so far and ranks third on the top scorers list – just behind Erling Haaland and Cole Palmer.

Newcastle United could have problems due to FFP and the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules. That could force them make a big sale.

Arsenal have been linked with a move to sign Bruno Guimaraes, but Jamie O’Hara believes the Gunners should go ‘all out’ to sign his teammate Isak instead.

The former Tottenham man went as far as saying Arsenal will win the Premier League next season if they bring in the Swede.

When asked who Arsenal should sign before the start of next season, O’Hara said on Sky Sports: “I’d go all out and try and sign Isak.

“I don’t know if the situation changes at Newcastle with maybe the new rules coming in. But if they do need to sell, I would go and sell £100 million on Isak. He’s going to get you a Premier League title.

“He reminds me very much of Thierry Henry. I’m not saying he’s as good as him, but he’s very much in the same ilk in the way he plays and everything he’s got.”

The latest on Alexander Isak’s future

Alexander Isak is all set to be a wanted man this summer.

Reports have claimed that the Swede is Mikel Arteta’s top striker target for the upcoming summer transfer window, but he will not be cheap.

If Newcastle do agree to sell Isak, it will be for an eye-watering £100 million.

In what is good news for Arsenal, Tom Barclay shared a picture of his column on The Sun, where he has claimed that Arsenal’s fierce North London rivals, Tottenham, are unlikely to be able to afford Isak.

Isak is a magnificent striker, and if we can get him this summer, we genuinely believe the Premier League title next season is ours.
