Russian army continues to destroy the infrastructure of Avdiivka (Donetsk region) after its occupation, including engaging in industrial looting. The enemy has started to export metal equipment from the local coke plant they destroyed, reports the National Resistance Center (NRC).
It is noted that the Russian army is exporting scrap metal from the remnants of the Avdiivka Coke Plant to the port of Mariupol.
According to the Center, the implementation of the structures of the Avdiivka Coke Plant is carried out by companies controlled by the leader of the terrorist group DPR (Donetsk People's Republic).
"Of course, the income from the implementation will go to Denis Pushilin's front companies," NRC states.
The Center emphasizes that collaborators who loot the remains of the Donetsk region destroyed by the Russian army will be billed by the Resistance Movement at any time.
Note: PJSC Avdiivka Coke and Chemical Plant (ACCP) is located in the city of Avdiivka, Donetsk region. The enterprise produced 31 types of products, the main of which is blast furnace coke for metallurgy.
According to open sources, ACCP accounted for a 23% share of blast furnace coke production in Ukraine. ACCP supplied products to Ukrainian enterprises and exported to various countries around the world.
During the mass attacks by the Russian army, including since last autumn, the territory of the plant has been constantly under enemy shelling and airstrikes.
Fighting for Avdiivka and the occupation of the city
Russian forces began a massive offensive on Avdiivka in early October 2023. The city was heavily shelled and bombed, including the use of guided aerial bombs dropped on the settlement by the enemy by the dozens per day. Heavy fighting for Avdiivka continued until the end of February this year.
On February 16, Commander of the Tavria Operational and Strategic Group of troops Oleksandr Tarnavskyi announced the decision to withdraw from the Zenit position on the southeastern outskirts of Avdiivka. Later, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi announced that the Defense Forces had left the city to avoid encirclement.
It should be noted that according to Tarnavskyi, during the 4-month active phase of the Avdiivka defensive operation, enemy losses amounted to over 47,000 soldiers.
