Russia's losses in Ukraine as of May 6: 1040 troops and 38 artillery systems

The Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated another 1,040 Russian troops over the day, bringing the total losses of the Russian army in personnel since the beginning of the full-scale invasion to about 475,300 soldiers. The Ukrainian Armed Forces also destroyed 5 Russian tanks, 34 armored personnel carriers, and 38 artillery systems, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat losses of the enemy from 24.02.22 to 06.05.24 are estimated to be

  • personnel - about 475300 (+1040) people were killed;
  • tanks - 7380 (+5) units;
  • armored personnel carriers - 14213 (+34) units;
  • artillery systems - 12250 (+38) units;
  • MLRS - 1057 units;
  • air defense systems - 791 (+1) units;
  • airplanes - 349 units;
  • helicopters - 325 units;
  • UAVs of operational and tactical level - 9683 (+47) units;
  • cruise missiles - 2148 (+1) units;
  • ships/boats - 26 units;
  • submarines - 1 unit;
  • motor vehicles and tank trucks - 16477 (+59) units;
  • special equipment - 2008 (+6) units.

Situation at front

Earlier today, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in a morning summary on May 6 that 125 combat clashes took place at the front over the past day.

The Ukrainian military command notes that the Russian troops, in particular, are putting pressure on the Ukrainian Defense Forces in three directions in the Donetsk region.
