A jury heard evidence Monday that then-President Donald Trump personally signedsome of the checks used to repay former attorney Michael Cohen for a hush money agreement with adult film actress Stormy Daniels.
During the hearing in Manhattan court, former Trump Organization controller Jeff McConney told the jury that the Trump Organization initially made the monthly $35,000 payments toCohen. The scheme, however, was eventually switched to allow Trump to make payments from his personal account.
At that time, Trump was serving as president and living at the White House, ABC News reported.

"What did that mean?" a prosecutor asked the former Trump Organization controller.

"Somehow we would have to get a package down to the White House," McConney testified. He had previously told the jury that Trump was the only person who could sign his personal checks.
"DJT needs to sign check," McConney said in one email presented to the jury.
"The check was drawn out of President Trump's personal account," McConney added. "We had to get it down to the White House for the president to sign it."
