If you’re planning to buy a new iPad after Tuesday’s Let Loose event, you’re also going to need some new gear to go with it: Today Amazon is selling the 2nd-gen AirPods Pro with a USB-C charging case for $180, a savings of $69, and one of the few times we’ve ever seen this model drop to this price.
The design hasn’t changed since the original model arrived in 2019 but the 2nd-gen model from 2022 has longer battery life (6 hours vs 4.5 hours), improved audio quality, Adaptive Transparency mode, and improved 2X noise cancellation. In 2023m it received a small refresh with a new case that has USB-C for charging instead of Lightning, as well as better dust resistance and lossless audio for Vision Pro.
In our 4.5-star review, we declared the 2nd-gen AirPods Pro as “the best choice for those who use Apple products,” but at the price, it’s great for everyone else too.
