Fox News host Jesse Watters faced immediate scorn on social media Monday when he suggested former President Donald Trump would spend any time in prison getting ripped.
"Trump is going to come out with a prison body," Watters said. "That's what happens when you go to prison; you work out, that's all there is to do."
Watters made this prediction after Trump was once again threatened with jail time over repeated gag order violations in his criminal hush money trial in New York City.

While Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg contends Trump falsified business records to cover up hush money paid to adult film star Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 presidential election, Trump claims he's the victim of a political witch hunt.

For his part, Justice Juan Merchan says he'll send Trump to jail if he keeps attacking witnesses and jurors on social media.
"The last thing that I want to do is to put you in jail," Merchan said Monday. "The magnitude of such a decision is not lost on me."
Judging by the responses to Watters' comment, the magnitude of placing a former president behind bars was blissfully lost upon users of social media who heaped scorn on the host and his subject.
"They think he will pay someone to do the push ups & he will get buff," @HandWilcox posted.
"Why is he so obsessed with Trump’s body," asked @NeilArio.
"The idea that the doughy lumpy noxious flatulence-heavy criminal defendant might emerge from prison with a hot body is galaxy-level delusional," @HawaiiDelilah posted in response.
And @dforthandbview considered it is sacrilege to think Trump isn't already fit.
"I thought Donald Trump already had a prison body, based on the image of him that his cultists put on their pickup trucks... You're telling me that isn't real???"
