Rio Ferdinand perfectly summed up how Man Utd fans felt watching Crystal Palace drubbing in four-word message

Rio Ferdinand called out one Manchester United star and perfectly summed up how fans felt after watching Crystal Palace’s thumping 4-0 win on Monday evening.

Erik ten Hag’s men were in for a rude awakening during their trip to Selhurst Park, with Manchester United missing Harry Maguire and Bruno Fernandes due to injury.

United produced a toothless performance against Crystal Palace and Ten Hag’s side offered very little when placed on the back foot in the Premier League clash.

Michael Olise, who has attracted interest from United, opened the scoring in the first half before Jean-Philippe Mateta added Palace’s second before half-time.

Tyrick Mitchell extended the lead for the Eagles after the break before Michael Olise returned and completed his brace against United.

United’s 4-0 drubbing at the hands of Palace was another humiliating moment for Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag in the current Premier League season.

Ferdinand sums up how Man Utd fans felt

Manchester United have only four matches remaining across all competitions before their chaotic season finally comes to an end.

The Red Devils are out of the race for top four and United face an uphill battle to secure any kind of European football after their recent run of form.

Erik ten Hag’s men languish in eighth place in the league table and are level on points with seventh-place Chelsea with three league matches remaining.

Former United defender Rio Ferdinand was among those who were frustrated with the Red Devils’ performance against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

The United legend perfectly summed up how a large majority – if not all – Red Devils supporters felt in a single tweet about Crystal Palace’s steamrolling display.

“Going bed… night all,” he wrote, adding an angry face emoji.

Ferdinand calls out Man Utd star

Ferdinand, much like United fans, was left deeply frustrated with the decision that went against Rasmus Hojlund in the match at Selhurst Park.

Rasmus Hojlund had the ball in the back of the net before his effort was disallowed after it was ruled that he committed a foul on Dean Henderson.

Reacting to the incident, Ferdinand wrote: “Referees are part of the Goalkeeper Union ffs [sic].”

The 45-year-old TNT Sports pundit called out Casemiro and was baffled by what he had seen from the United star in the match.

Casemiro has been playing as a makeshift defender in recent weeks amid an injury crisis hitting several first-team centre-backs in Ten Hag’s squad.

However, the 32-year-old Brazilian midfielder struggled alongside Jonny Evans in defence and Casemiro was met with fierce criticism over his performance.

Ferdinand was far from convinced by Casemiro’s display in the 4-0 thumping defeat and urged the former Real Madrid star to ‘stay on his feet.’

“Casemiro #StayOnYaFeet [sic],” he simply tweeted.
