Nuclear blackmail is a regular practice for the Russian Federation. They blackmail with what they have, according to a representative of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.

"They blackmail with what they have. After all, this is a constant practice of the Kremlin. There is nothing new here. There are already official statements from the international community. As for nuclear blackmail, of course, this is a question for the free world, for the West. I think the reaction will be adequate and correct," Yusov says.

The DIU representative notes that what is more important than Russian threats is what is happening on the battlefield today, where Russians continue to plan and implement things against Ukraine.

Russia's nuclear threats

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia has regularly resorted to pathetic nuclear threats because the West supported Ukraine. As an example, yesterday, May 6, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that its troops would conduct tactical nuclear weapons exercises, following Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin's order.

As Pentagon spokesperson Pat Ryder noted, Russia's plans are an example of irresponsible rhetoric.
