Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz has called on developing economies to participate in the Global Peace Summit on Ukraine, according to Deutschlandfunk.

According to Scholz, if countries such as China, Brazil, and India call on Russia to withdraw their troops from Ukraine, the chances for quick peace will increase.

The Chancellor believes developing countries should also intensify their diplomatic efforts to facilitate a peaceful conference scheduled in Switzerland for June.

At the meeting in Lucerne, among other topics, it will be discussed that nuclear weapons should not be used in the war against Ukraine, and there should be no attacks on nuclear power plants.

Global Peace Summit

This year, for the first time, a high-level meeting will take place under the Ukrainian peace program. Ukraine has invited more than 150 countries to participate in this event.

At the same time, Kyiv refused to invite Russia to the summit. As the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, stated, Russia's presence is only possible at the second session of the meeting.
