'So quick': Harry Kane says Man City have a player who is actually faster than Alphonso Davies

Harry Kane has claimed that a certain Manchester City player is even quicker than Alphonso Davies.

Bayern Munich’s Davies is one of the fastest players in world football.

According to Bundesliga’s official website, the Canadian international clocked up 36.41 km/h in Bayern’s 3-1 defeat to Stuttgart; the joint-highest in the league this season.

Werder Bremen loanee Eren Dinkçi, who is currently playing for FC Heidenheim clocked the same figure this campaign.

Not many players in the game can be considered quicker than Davies.

However, Manchester City have certain players in their squad who are virtually impossible to catch up to once they get on their bikes.

Kane says Man City have a player who is quicker than Davies

Whether Jeremy Doku is quicker than Alphonso Davies is a question that will only be answered once they go head-to-head with each other.

Notably, Oscar Bobb once hinted that the Belgian could be the fastest player at Manchester City.

As a result, almost every time full-backs have been solely tasked to keep City’s number 11 quiet this campaign, they have been left for dead as he effortlessly flies past them due to his one-of-a-kind pace.

Similarly, Manuel Akanji has shown this season that he has the speed to keep pace with a player as quick as Rodrygo Goes.

As a result, Pep Guardiola seems to have no qualms about leaving the Swiss international in a back two when his team have the ball.

But while speaking to ITV Sport, Harry Kane, who has played with both Alphonso Davies and Kyle Walker opted for the latter as the quicker player.

When picking between the pair as the quickest player he has ever played with, Kane said: “Oh my god, it’s between Kyle Walker and Alphonso Davies. I’ll go Kyle Walker because I played with him for longer.

“So quick, so quick.”

Why Kyle Walker can still play at the top level at 33 years of age

Considering Kyle Walker is 10 years older than Alphonso Davies, the compliment from Harry Kane must put a smile on his face.

The primary reason why Walker can play at the highest level as a 33-year-old is due to his pace.

If the Englishman lacked the speed to be able to compete with flying full-backs like Marcus Rashford and Vinicius Junior, he would be unable to keep them quiet when he came up against them.

But once again this season, Walker has been able to.

As long as the decorated right-back can remain one of the fastest players in Europe, he will belong at the top level due to being a specialist at stopping top wingers from running riot.
