The regular iPad just got a huge price cut

The ‘Let Loose’ event, in which Apple unveiled the latest iPad models, has just taken place. Apple surprised everyone by announcing this year’s spring event in May, just a month before the WWDC developer conference in June.

At today’s event, Apple unveiled new iPad Air and iPad Pro models, with the latter being the first to feature the M4 chip. However, the surprises don’t end there.

Unfortunately we didn’t get to see the announcement of the 11th-gen iPad, but Apple also decided to permanently reduce the price of the regular iPad. Previously costing $449/£499, the 10th-gen iPad in its basic configuration is now available for $349/£349, a reduction of up to 30% in the UK.

Although it came out in 2022, the 10th-gen iPad still presents a compelling choice with its modern design, increased power thanks to the A14 Bionic chip and vibrant new colour options. Its higher price compared to the 2021 entry-level iPad was the biggest drawback, but now it stands as the best (and cheapest) way to start using iPads.

If you still can’t afford that $349/£349 price tag, the 9th-gen iPad from 2021 is an alternative option for around $249/£249. However, you won’t get it from Apple anymore, so other retailers like Amazon or Best Buy are your best bet.
