President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone conversation with his Finnish counterpart Alexander Stubb, according to the President's X account.

Zelenskyy noted that the parties discussed defense cooperation.

"We also discussed our continued defense cooperation and the possibility of Ukraine utilizing Finland's experience in civilian shelter construction. I am grateful to Finland for all of its support and assistance to Ukraine," said the President.

At the beginning of April, the Cabinet of Ministers allocated 1 billion hryvnias for the construction of shelters. The funds will be distributed among medical facilities in frontline areas. Prior to this, over 5 billion hryvnias were allocated for the construction of fortifications in Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.
