Jose Enrique says he ‘doesn’t really understand’ Liverpool star’s actions on Instagram

Playing for a pressure cooker club like Liverpool can be tough on even the most proven of stars.

There is a reason why Liverpool went 30 years without winning English football’s main crown.

Not because all the teams weren’t good enough, some of them were, it’s just dealing with the intense pressure of having to be number one for English football’s biggest club was too much.

And, as the Reds have shown before Jurgen Klopp’s departure, just one period of disappointing results and performances can spread like wildfire and derail your campaign.

Only months ago, Liverpool fans, albeit ahead of schedule given where the squad is at, were talking about winning several trophies this season.

Yet, fast forward to the present, and Klopp is going to leave with just the League Cup, which has dampened the mood around Anfield.

But Liverpool only have themselves to blame because they went through a period where they couldn’t score a goal if their life depended on it.

From the previously reliable Mohamed Salah to the chaotic Darwin Nunez. They are all to blame and have to shoulder the responsibility.

But fans have recently noticed that Nunez has deleted everything Liverpool-related on his personal Instagram account – Luis Suarez has reacted.

Jose Enrique responded to that on his own Instagram and was critical of the 24-year-old’s actions by agreeing ‘we have supported him so much’.

The former left-back made it clear that he ‘doesn’t really understand this’ and disagreed with the player’s actions.

Darwin Nunez deletes Liverpool content on Instagram

“We have supported him so much. This is so disrespectful,” wrote a fan in the comments section of Enrique’s IG post.

Enrique replied and added: “Agreed. When he has not been good enough the fans have been giving him love and support, so don’t really understand this.”

Darwin Nunez under Arne Slot

Even though Liverpool paid big money for Nunez, you just don’t know how Arne Slot is going to react to him.

You don’t expect the incoming Liverpool boss to make big changes straight away, but Nunez will be one targeted if he doesn’t improve.

Whilst under Klopp he would continue to get the support for his inconsistent style.

You just feel it would be easier for Slot to push him aside if he doesn’t perform because he wasn’t his signing.
