Trump’s Lawyers Motion for Mistrial Quickly Denied After Stormy Daniels Testimony

The judge denied Donald Trump's defense team's motion for a mistrial after former porn star Stormy Daniels testified for hours, including describing her alleged sexual encounter with him.

Following a lunch break, defense lawyer Todd Blanche told the just that Daniels ran afoul of rules established for her taking the witness stand, the Associated Press reported.

This is the first time the Trump team has asked for a mistrial.

Blanche said her testimony about the alleged sexual encounter with Trump and her detailed account of a preceding conversation and other meetings with Trump had "nothing to do with this case and is extremely prejudicial."

This is a developing story and will be updated.
