Bank of Japan chief Kazuo Ueda said Wednesday that the central bank could consider a monetary policy response if the recent weakening of the yen impacts prices.
Ueda told a parliamentary session that the country's inflation may be more susceptible to developments in the currency market than before, as price-setting behavior by Japanese companies has been changing.
