Arteta issued Arsenal warning as one 'worry' outlined ahead of Manchester United clash

ESPN pundit Janusz Michallik has issued one worry Arsenal should have heading into Sunday’s Premier League clash against Manchester United.

The Gunners face Erik Ten Hag’s side at arguably their lowest point of the season, with the Red Devils fresh off a 4-0 thrashing against Crystal Palace with United missing the majority of their key players through injury.

Whilst a European finish is a possibility for United this season, current form and the overall mood around the club suggests that the Old Trafford giants might miss out on a top-seven spot, especially if Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal get the win on Sunday.

Yet for Michallik, the Gunners might now have something to worry about when they face United.

Arsenal warned Manchester United could now be playing for pride

Speaking on ESPN FC, pundit Michallik issued a warning to Arsenal that United’s squad could now be desperate to show the world they have what it takes to take on the best, with a potential shock result on the cards for Sunday.

The pundit said about this weekend’s clash: “I worry about Arsenal at Old Trafford more than Manchester City playing away at Spurs, where they’ve not had a lot of luck in terms of results of even scoring goals.

“As a former player, you look at Manchester United who are at the bottom of bottoms, in my lifetime I’ve never seen a worse Manchester United team, a team that against Crystal Palace that were non-existent.

“But I do think there’s a little bit of pride left in them where they understand what it meant to lose to Palace in the way they did, and I just think it’s too obvious to pick Arsenal [to win on Sunday], and my gut feeling tells me that possibly United could get a draw in this game.”

Arsenal can’t let history repeat itself on Sunday

There’s no doubt that United will be fired up for Sunday’s fixture against Arsenal, a game that the north London side have only won just once in the Premier League in the last 18 years.

And if Arsenal are to win the Premier League, they can’t let history repeat itself, with the Gunners in too tense a position to drop a single point from their final two games of the season.

Indeed, Arsenal are playing United at the right time with confidence low and the stakes even lower for the Red Devils, and Arteta’s side need to show their might and their strength at Old Trafford in a big way.
