It still feels difficult to comprehend that this will be Jurgen Klopp’s last season at Liverpool even so close to the end. Especially because has done such a good job of building for the future.

Over the course of the season, Klopp has promoted so many young players from the academy.

Players who haven’t just filled the gaps when needed to, but who have made their mark on the team, and showcased their exciting potential.

One of those young players has been Jarell Quansah, whose rise in the first team has been really exciting to watch. As the season has progressed he has become better and better in a Liverpool shirt.

Quansah has established himself as one of the most exciting young centre-backs in the Premier League. And well and truly cemented his place in Liverpool’s first team.

His performances this season have been a joy to watch. He is composed on the ball, and reads the game superbly.

He’s come under a lot praised and has even been described as ‘exceptional’ by Jurgen Klopp.

But he’s not just leading the way in the Premier League among his position peers. Football Talent Scout on X, has now shown that Quansah has the best defensive duel success rate out of any centre-back in Europe’s top five leagues 21-years-old or younger this season.

Is Jarell Quansah going to be rewarded with a new contract?

Quansah’s performances need more recognition. He’s now firmly a first team player, and he should be rewarded for his progress.

That is apparently what Liverpool are planning to do, with a new contract offer in the works for Quansah.

This is just the beginning of his career in a red shirt. It will be exciting to see how Quansah develops in the coming years.
