Khloe Kardashian 'did every diet under the sun' until she 'retrained her brain'

Khloe Kardashian’s physical transformation has been something almost every reality TV fan has their eye on. The mom of two has shown off her “hard work” in the gym in various jaw-dropping photoshoots over the past few years and now everyone wants to know her secrets, including how much she works out.

During her guest appearance this May on the SHE MD podcast, Khloe Kardashian breaks down how she’s come to lose weight. The Kardashians star was told she “couldn’t look better” than she does these days. But, despite the compliments, she explains it hasn’t been the easiest road to get to where she is today.

Khloe Kardashian work out

Sitting down with her doctor and friend, Dr Aliabadi (Dr A) and Mary Alice Haney, Khloe explains her weight loss journey.

Mary asks: “How do you get this body?”

Khloe tells of how she “worked really hard” to get the physique she has today.

She says: “…because I used to be overweight a lot of my life. My weight loss journey took years.”

The Hulu star adds: “I’ve always been chubby, like even athletic,” adding how she played sports but was “never in shape.”

Khloe says her “thing” is “the food,” adding how she has the “determination” but had to “retrain her mind” when it came to her diet.

She now works out five days a week and divulges what that involves:

“I do cardiovascular intervals with weight lifting and I love it.”

She adds how “if she’s getting ready for a shoot,” she’ll do pilates in addition to her regular workouts.

Kardashians star’s diet

Working out is one thing, but fans are also really keen to know what a Hulu star like Khloe eats.

She explains how she used to be a “major emotional eater” who would “feel so good eating but so bad after” and would “cry.”

Cutting the “crazy repeat cycle,” Khloe said she gave herself a lot of “patience” and made “lifestyle changes” such as “cutting out soda.”

She said she’d do this “little by little, week by week,” and go on to “cut out another thing.”

These days, she’s not really dieting, though. Khloe says she’s now “in a good place, body-wise,” that she “likes.”

Because she’s “trained her brain,” she says she usually eats “what she wants,” and doesn’t even want junk foods.

The Good American founder adds how “pizza” is her “weakness” but she’d never eat a whole one nowadays.

Reflecting on her weight loss journey, Khloe says she was 204 lbs after she had her first child, True Thompson.

She says: “Because I had all the tools in my toolbox, I lost my pregnancy weight so much faster than I ever did” before.
