Report: Chelsea are now interested again in signing £52m player they missed out on last summer

Reports have claimed that Chelsea are keen to make amends on a transfer they missed out on last summer.

The Blues spent big on multiple stars a year ago, even smashing their record fee to bring in Moises Caicedo in midfield.

His addition was complimented by the likes of Cole Palmer, Christopher Nkunku and Romeo Lavia, although the latter two have struggled to make an impact on the side due to injury.

They also continued to address the ongoing desire to sign a number of young players before they were snapped up by fellow elite sides.

One of the rare ones they missed out on was Vitor Roque, who ended up moving over to Barcelona for big money.

The 19-year-old has made 11 La Liga appearances so far since joining, although is only averaging just over 10 minutes each time he enters the pitch.

This has led to reports that he is unhappy at Barcelona in just his first season since the £52m move was made official.

Chelsea wanr Vitor Roque again

Roque’s agent has been keen to make it public that he is not enjoying life right now, and this has put a number of sides on note of a potential deal.

According to AS, Chelsea are one of those sides who have in their case reignited their interest in a deal.

Chelsea close to Estevao deal

It has already been reported that the Blues are keen on adding another young superstar to their ranks this summer in the form of Estevao.

Yesterday, it was reported by Fabrizio Romano that Chelsea have come to agreements on personal terms with the 17-year-old, and an agreement on terms with the club is all that remains.

With the big money likely to be spent on the Brazilian, it makes it difficult to imagine a world where the Blues look to bring in both young stars this summer.
