No one is talking about Liverpool ‘super talent’ who could play a big role under Arne Slot

Liverpool have a ‘fantastic’ talent out on loan who could play a big role under Arne Slot next season.

When Arne Slot arrives at Liverpool, he will begin a new era at the club. A new era means change is inevitable.

Some players who were part of Jurgen Klopp’s plans will move on. Others who were on the periphery may get a chance for redemption.

Naturally, it will be a huge opportunity for the club’s young players to catch the eye. Everyone will start with a fresh slate, and that means players will be determined to prove themselves.

Why Owen Beck could become a key part of Arne Slot’s plans

In Slot’s system, his full-backs don’t tend to push as high as Klopp’s at Liverpool are doing at the moment.

Slot prefers more defensive minded full-backs, who will drop back and involve themselves in the build-up rather than push into the final third.

That and the fact that he is getting on in years could mean Kostas Tsimikas could depart from the club this summer.

Which in turn could see Owen Beck given a chance in Liverpool colours, who has been catching the eye on loan, and who looks ready to step into the first team.

Who is Owen Beck?

Beck has been at the club’s academy since 2015. He is the great-nephew of Liverpool legend Ian Rush. So far he’s made a handful of appearances for Liverpool’s first team.

But he’s mostly caught the eye on loan, including at his current spell in Dundee FC.Beck has been integral to the Scottish club’s success this season, and even came back briefly to Liverpool to feature for the club’s first team in January.

He’s been described as a ‘super talent’ by Jurgen Klopp, and he should get his chance under Slot in pre-season.
