Alina Habba, Donald Trump's attorney and spokesperson, was seen "smiling ear to ear" as adult film actress Stormy Daniels explained why she needed private security after threats from the former president.

During Daniels' Thursday testimony in Trump's hush money trial, Manhattan Assistant District Attorney Susan Hoffinger followed up with defense attorneys Susan Necheles' cross-examination by highlighting the threats Daniels faced after she alleged an affair with Trump.

Daniels said some of Trump's tweets could have been directed at her.

"IF YOU GO AFTER ME, I'M COMING AFTER YOU," Trump said in one tweet.

"Daniels understood it to be about her, because it was around the time of Trump prevailing in the FL defamation case involving Daniels," Lawfare's Tyler McBrien explained.

Daniels said the ordeal cost her a lot because she "had to hire security, take extra precautions for my daughter, move her to a safe place to live, had to move a couple of times, lost judgment on NDA case and owe attorney's fees."

Daily Beast reporter Jose Pagliery watched Habba as Daniels spoke about her need for private security.

"Habba was smiling ear to ear as Daniels explained how this ordeal has cost her dearly," Pagliery wrote.

And it wasn't the first time Habba seemed to delight in Daniels' suffering.

Pagliery also caught Habba smiling on Tuesday when Daniels explained how media reports had made her life difficult.

"It blew my cover, I guess.. to everyone that I rode horses with, everyone in my neighborhood, everyone in my daughter's friends," Daniels said at the time.
