Former Elle Magazine columnist E. Jean Carroll "took a victory lap" by commemorating the one year anniversary of her legal win over ex-President Donald Trump Thursday, NJ.com reports.

Carroll alleged that in 1996, the former president sexually assaulted her in Bergdorf Goodman’s Fifth Avenue dressing room.

She celebrated via X (formerly Twitter), writing, "Never Forget May 9th! Trump can be beat! Trump can be trounced! Trump can lose."

The veteran journalist also shared a link to the New York Times story reporting that a Manhattan jury had found the ex-president liable for sexual abuse and defamation, and awarded Carroll $5 million in damages.

The Times reported that Carroll "walked out of the courthouse grinning from ear to ear, holding hands with her lawyer, Roberta A. Kaplan. A woman yelled to Ms. Carroll, 'You’re so brave and beautiful,'" to which she replied, "Thank you, thank you so much."

The former advice columnist also secured a second win over Trump in January, when a federal jury decided the MAGA hopeful should pay $83.3 million in damages related to remarks he made in 2019 denying that he ever sexually assaulted Carroll.

Following the verdict, Kaplan told CNN host Anderson Cooper that Carroll E. was "overjoyed" at the thought of receiving the justice she deserved.

"And she feels she really stood up, and she has, stood up for almost every woman who’s been defamed, who’s been kicked down, who’s been shut up,”"Kaplan added.
