SEC Softball Tournament enters weather delay during Arkansas-Missouri

Weather has been an issue all day during the SEC Softball Tournament. Games were delayed by nearly eight hours in the morning because of rain. After getting the LSU-Tennessee game in, Arkansas-Missouri was well on its way toward being completed.

However, Mother Nature once again had other ideas. The Tournament has been put in another weather delay due to lightning in the area. At least 30 minutes have to pass due to lightning being in the area and when time passes, the situation will be reassessed.

WEATHER UPDATE At this time, lightning has been detected in the area. @MizzouSoftball vs. @RazorbackSB is currently in a delay and will be reassessed in 30 minutes,” the SEC said via X. “We will provide updates as available.”

When the umpires called the game, for the time being, Missouri was winning 2-1 in the top of the fifth inning. The Tigers are in the midst of a rally as well, currently having two on base with nobody out. Adding to the lead would be huge in the later innings, hoping to advance to the semifinals.

But everyone is going to have to wait sometime before figuring out the result. Hopefully, the lightning in the area goes away and the game will be able to wrap up on Thursday night.

Otherwise, there is going to be a lot of softball played on Friday and maybe even Saturday before the championship game.
