Two injured after Russia attacks private home in Kharkiv

An 11-year-old child and 72-year-old woman are currently being treated.

Explosions were first reported by Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov shortly after 3:00 a.m. EET.

A residential area was hit and a fire erupted in residential buildings, he added shortly thereafter.

A private house was damaged in the attack, Kharkiv Governor Oleh Synehubov, said.

Russian forces also attacked Derhachy near Kharkiv, no casualties were recorded there, Synehubov noted.

The Air Force and monitoring channels warned about the ballistic threat to Kharkiv Oblast before the attack.
