‘Most difficult game’: Paul Merson has now predicted the score for Man City’s match against Fulham

Paul Merson has shared his score prediction for Manchester City’s Premier League match against Fulham.

The Blues have just three league games left to play before the campaign ends, the first of which being an away clash against Marco Silva’s side.

With the Blues still one point behind Arsenal but with an extra game to play, City will be aiming to win all three league games ahead of them starting with Saturday’s match against the Cottagers.

Looking ahead to this game in the capital, one pundit has shared his thoughts on how the match could pan out for Pep Guardiola’s side and what he thinks the score will be on this occasion.

In his latest column for Sportskeeda where he previewed and predicted the scores for this weekend’s Premier League fixtures, Merson had this to say about City’s match at Fulham.

He said: “You look at it now and see this as Arsenal’s last chance.

“Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham are out of form, so this could be City’s most difficult game.

“Despite that, I can’t see anything but a Man City win. They absolutely blew Wolves away last week with Erling Haaland scoring four goals and are a much better team when they have to win.

“Fulham are a nice team but they would need to score first to stand a realistic chance of getting anything from this game.

“All Arsenal can do is win their game and take it to the last game of the season.

“Fulham 1-3 Manchester City.”

This is another must-win game for City

As Merson mentioned, City beat Wolves 5-1 in their previous league game, whereas Fulham drew 0-0 with Brentford away from home on the same day.

In terms of Fulham’s home record this season, they have won nine of their 18 games at Craven Cottage, beating the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in the process.

Having then only won three of their 18 away games, it’s clear that the west London side are better at home than they are on the road.

Regardless of that, we feel that this is another game that City will have to take all three points from if they want to keep the pressure on Arsenal and take a step closer to potentially winning the Premier League.
